Rocket wiring fault causes loss of two satellites.

A November 2020 launch failure appears to be the result of faulty wiring by a technician who helped to build the European space rocket resulting in a loss costing more than €300 million.

The Vega launcher diverged from its planned course eight minutes after lift-off from the European spaceport in French Guiana in November, following the ignition of the engine in its upper module.

This marks the second failure in the past three launches involving the smallest of the European Space Agency’s Ariane family of rockets.

The simpliest error, the smallest, least expensive part can have catastrophic results.

A key supplier to the satellite industry Nexeya is here to help.
